Pumori Mountains lie between the border of Nepal and Tibet in the Mahalangur section of Himalayas. Pumori is 8 Kilometers far from the west of Mount Everest. In sherpa language, the Pumori means “The Mountain Daughter”.Pumori is a well-Known climbing peak because of the easiest of the route that divided into three classes. Gerhard Lenser of a German-Swiss was the first who ascended Pumori in 1962.

An outlier of Pumori is a Kala Pathar that appears as a huge brown bump under the brilliant South face of Pumori. Most of the trekkers made their journey to see Mt. Everest up close where you can have a 360 view of Kala Pathar of Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse. The main tracks of the Mt. Pumori is the Southeast Ridge, Ticino Treks proudly offers mountaineering trip in the Himalayan region.

The three camps to reach the Mount Pumori are:

You will reach your first camp or Advanced Base Camp after the 3 hours of trekking. The first camp is located at an altitude of 5,700 meters.  After reaching there you should walk a distance of 500 meters at an elevation of 40 to 65 degrees slopes. On the way, you can find many rocks and mixed climb traverse, steep and exposed to the wind, also some ice walls. You may require fixed ropes sometimes.

The next camp begins at 6,200 meters which situated on a narrow ridge with no avalanche risk. For the next 400 meters is an ice climb with 5,000 meters high is the ice walls.

The next is your final camp before you reach Mount Pumori. This camp is at a height of 6,850 meters, which has a strong wind. From here you can see the Tibetan Plateau. Rope is necessary because of many fissures and ice wall’s way to top. Then there are two climbing ranges one from Nepal and another from the Tibet side. Between these two sides from Nepal, it is easier than Tibet.

FAQ

Yes, we are. We have been organizing treks, tours, and Expeditions for our beloved valued clients that go beyond two decades. We’ve enjoyed always nothing more than this.

All of the guides are specialists in their work and speak fluently English and other languages too, most are born in the areas they escort trekkers to and have many years of experience in guiding foreign travelers. It’s compulsory to carry the first aid with them when they are on the trek as they are trained too.
