Tsum Valley Trek

The Tsum valley is a scared Himalayan pilgrimage valley having a long Buddhist history. It is also known as the hidden valley. This place was a restricted area until it was opened for trekking in 2008.  People in Tsum valley are from the Tibetan origin and have great faith in Buddhism.

Some snow-capped peaks viz. Sringi, Ganesh and Bouddha are visible from Tsum valley.

When visitors reach Tsum valley, they will figure out that the valley is detached from other parts of the country and is yet face towards development. This hidden valley strongly believes in not slaughtering animal.

The Milarepa cave on the way to Nile from Chhekamparo can be a good visit. Tibetan yogi, Milarepa of the 11th century is believed to have spent many years in this place.

The Tsum valley trek will basically be a camping trek.


Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Arughat (570m) 6-7hrs

Day 02: Arughat to Liding (815m) 5 hrs.

Day 03: Liding to Machha Khola (930m) 6hrs

Day 04: Machha Khola to  Doban (1070m)6hrs.

Day 05: Doban to Philim (1590m) 5hrs.

Day 06: Philim to Chumling (2385m)6hrs.

Day 07: Chumling to Chhekamparo (3240m)4hrs.

Day 08: Chhekamparo to Nile/Chule – Visit Milarepa cave on the way.

Day 09: Nille to Mu Gumba (3705m) 3hrs.

Day 10: Hike to Kalung and back to Rachen Gomba (3240m)

Day 11: Rachen Gomba to chumling (2240m)5hrs.

Day 12: Chumling to Jagat (1342m)6hrs.

Day 13: Jagat to Khorla Besi (970m)7hrs.

Day 14: Khorla Besi back to Soti Khola (730m)7hrs.

Day 15: Soti Khola to Arughat.6hrs

Day 16: Drive Back to Kathmandu
