Overview

Pachhermo peak (6,187 m) is an eye-catching snow peak lying south of Tashi Lapcha pass in the Rolwaling region. The peak was first ascended in 1955. The face of northwest ridge appearances a uniform slope is broken by crevasse and series rising from the rocky lower buttresses above the Drolambau glaciers in the west.

As we reach the summit of Mt Parchemuche Peak we will be rewarded with magnificent views of Cho Oyu (8,201 m), Amadablam (6,812 m), Thamserku (6,623 m), Kusum Kangaru (6,367 m), and other surrounding mountains.

Itinerary

Upon your arrival, one of our team representatives will pick you from the airport and transfer you to the hotel. We will have a brief discussion about our trip packages and offer you a welcome dinner with typical Nepalese dishes.

Early in the morning, we will guide you to visit Patan Durbar Square located at the center of Kathmandu Valley. In the day time, we will assist you in preparing legal permits and other required documents.

We will start our driving early in the morning from Ratnapark, Kathmandu. The road traverses through beautiful towns, local villages cross forests, and rivers to reach Charikot. It will take 8 hours to reach there.

The route goes normal before ascending and descending through the dense forests of Rhododendron. We will walk for 6 hours today to reach a beautiful settlement in Shigati village.

We will continue to follow the trail that heads through a beautiful pine forest before making a climb on to a rocky ridge. The stunning views of Gauri Shankar Himal just above the Rolwaling valley can be seen from Jagat.

We will continue to walk along the river bank and then cross the suspension bridge before ascending a steep uphill that leads to the beautiful village of Simigaon that is mostly inhabited by Sherpa people.

A gradual descent from the top of the ridge will lead us to Rolwaling Khola and then towards Dovan. We will reach Drauangbu Village after 6 hours of gradual walking.

The route enters into the dense forests and follows the Rolwaling River. We will cross a suspension bridge and reach a plain landscape where Beding village is located.

We will walk gradually towards Na village. It takes just 4 hours to reach the beautiful village of Na. We will walk through fir trees and plain landscapes to reach there.

We will hike around the scattered village of Na and explore the ethnic culture of Sherpa people. We can go for a hike to  Sana Kharka.

We will descend down to cross the bridge over Tso- Rolpa outflow and follow the main trail that ascends an ablation valley to the south. We will camp at Kabuk village where the Tso- Rolpa Lake is located.

We will trek towards Yalung Ri base camp early in the morning. The route may be slippery so, we must be careful and walk gently through the ridge of cliffs. The base camp offers stunning views of snow-capped peaks and the beautiful valley below us.

We will start walking early in the morning as we are going to cross the quite challenging Glacier. We will cross the plateau to the further eastern corner above the glacier before descending a loose earth trail towards the southern edge of Trakarding Glacier.

We will continue our walking through the thrilling route to get into the Pachherma Base Camp. Before reaching there, we will cross the challenging Tashi Lapcha Pass which will be a little bit difficult.

The climbing should begin early in the morning to overcome the strong wind blowing during the midday. We will ascend towards the northeast over the scree beneath the rock wall of Tengi Ragi Tau. We will follow the footsteps of our climbing experts to climb the snow slopes over the ridge and overcome several technical sections before heading towards the summit. We will descend back to base camp after spending some quality time at the peak.

We will continue to descend vigorously down to reach Thame.

The route follows the Dudh Koshi River and traverses through Sagarmatha National Park, the home of thousands of flora and fauna. We will walk through the red rhododendron forests.

We will continue descending towards Lukla through the forested landscape and crossing some villages.

We will take an early flight to return to the Kathmandu Valley.

We will guide you to visit the UNESCO World Heritage sites inside Kathmandu Valley like Pasupatinath Temple, Bouddha Stupa, Soyambhu Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

We will transfer you to the airport from where you can depart back to your home town or join the next adventure.

FAQ

There might be some fixed departures in the peak season but you can check our fixed departures. If you are with some friends you can join with others if you want to. Even if you are alone, you can trek along with other groups, our well-experienced staff will not let you feel alone or bored.

Tea house means local lodges that exist along the treks where we will sleep and eat. These lodges prepare a large variety of local and western meals at a reasonable price. Our guides are very familiar with all these tea houses.

As a first aid kit is important while trekking, we included it in the trek. And we also have guides who are trained in using a first aid kit in case of emergency too. Please note that our clients are responsible to bring all their required personal medications (prescription) for their allergies etc.

Yes, there are many trekking shops in Nepal where you can easily hire or purchase backpacks, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, down jackets, etc. You can easily find them mostly in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Yes, we will provide a responsible guide and our company takes all responsibilities to happen all safely and comfortably.

The Nepal rupee (NR) is the local currency accepted throughout the country. You will be able to exchange your national currency for rupees at the airport, banks, and other currency exchange offices. You can also find some ATMs where you can get local currency with a debit card. Many shops and restaurants in Kathmandu and Pokhara accept Credit cards too.v
