Ghodepani & Hot Spring Trek
This trek having Ghandruk, Godepani-Poon-hill and Tatopani as its major charm will route through Pokhara, Phedi,Tadapani and Sikha.
You will leave for a 6-7hrs drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu. And, other day, a drive to Phedi and trek to Pothana. On this trek, you will encounter a typical Gurung village, Ghandruk. From Ghandruk, the view of Annapurna, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchare will be worth watching. Moreover, the rich culture and tradition of Gurung people serves as a topping.
From Ghandruk (1940m.) trekkers will progress towards Tadapani (2630m.) and Ghodepani (2860m.). In Ghorepani, an early morning hike to Poon Hill will be considered worthy once you get the sight of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu in a single panorama.
Next day, trekkers will descend to Sikha and Tatopani. Tatopani literally meaning “hot water” in Nepali is a hot water spring. Locals here believe that a bath in the spring will help to cure bone and skin diseases.
Then, a drive back to Pokhara and Kathmandu will end this trek.
Day 01: Kathmandu – by tourist bus to Pokhara 6-7hrs
Day 02: Pokhara – drive to Phedi and start trek to Pothana 4hrs / 1890m.
Day 03: Pothana – Ghandruk 6hrs / 1940m.
Day 04: Ghandruk – Tadapani 5-6hrs / 2630m.
Day 05: Tadapani – Ghodepani 6-7hrs / 2860m.
Day 06: Ghodepani – early morning hike to Poon Hill for panoramic view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu ranges and descent to Sikha
Day 07: Sikha – Tatopani “hot spring” 4hrs / 1190m. “half day bathing in Hot spring”
Day 08: Tatopani – by bus to Pokhara 5-6hrs / 820m.
Day 09: Pokhara – by tourist bus back to Kathmandu 6-7hrs / 1260m.
