Royal Chitwan National Park is a protected jungle area filled with wildlife located in the Terai area of Nepal. Chitwan used to be a hunting ground that royal used for hunting or the big game. It is the first national park in Nepal that was established in 1973 and was granted the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. It takes about 4-6 hours to get Chitwan from Kathmandu or Pokhara by bus.

It is truly amazing to move in the silent deep forests riding an elephant. A maximum people of 4 can ride the elephant at a time. Oxcart ride is also a ride for tourist who wants to experience the traditional transport of the Tharu people where the cart is pulled by a pair of oxen.
