The Kashmir Valley (1,620 m) is also known as the Vale of Kashmir situated in the Kashmir region which is administered by India. Kashmir is situated in the northern part of India which is the spirit of everything. The Kashmir region is rich in tradition, culture, history,  people, and natural grandeur. The Valley of Kashmir is full of the mighty massifs, Lush greenery, and blossoms of whites, yellows, pinks,  and flowers of all the rarest varieties. Rainbows are spread across the blue skies, meadows are spangled with daisies, flower beds with pansies, primroses, hyacinths, and daffodils grow all over. Almond, cherry, apple strawberries are in abundance. All in all, Kashmir is considered as heaven brought on the earth.

 

When is the best season to visit Kashmir?

The best season to visit Kashmir is during the months of March from August. Interestingly, two seasons are covered in Kashmir. Those favorable seasons for visiting Kashmir Valley are Spring (mid-March to early-May) and Summer (May-August). The blossoms of beautiful flowers and greenery forests in spring and the cool weather of summer creates the best season to explore Kashmir during this time.

Itinerary

Upon your arrival, our team representatives will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. We will visit Srinagar city as much as we have time remaining. We will visit the gardens and lakes inside the city and explore the historical places in Srinagar.

The route towards Sonamarg kakes us on a beautiful country side drive where we will come across rolling hills, green forests, fresh water streams and rice fields. We will enter into the town of Kangan which is trade junctions of this region. From Kangan, we will drive towards Mammar then finally, we reach Sona Marg.

We will drive through National Highway 1A until we reach Khanabal. From here, we will drive through the riverbank towards beautiful city Anantnag. We will continue our driving for 4 hours until we reach Pahalgam.

We will hike around the valley of Chandanwari and Betab to explore the distinct culture of local people residing here. We can experience the visiting by horse riding.

We will cross colorful  villages and terraced rice fields to rich the beautiful town of Gulmarg in Kashmir region.

We will travel through cable car to visit Afarwatt hill. Later we will explore the city which lies in beautiful Kashmir Valley.

We will fly back to Srinagar by taking early flight.

There might be some fixed departures in the peak season but you can check our fixed departures. If you are with some friends you can join with others if you want to. Even if you are alone, you can trek along with other groups, our well-experienced staff will not let you feel alone or bored.

Tea house means local lodges that exist along the treks where we will sleep and eat. These lodges prepare a large variety of local and western meals at a reasonable price. Our guides are very familiar with all these tea houses.

As a first aid kit is important while trekking, we included it in the trek. And we also have guides who are trained in using a first aid kit in case of emergency too. Please note that our clients are responsible to bring all their required personal medications (prescription) for their allergies etc.

Yes, there are many trekking shops in Nepal where you can easily hire or purchase backpacks, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, down jackets, etc. You can easily find them mostly in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
