Splendid breathtaking place

Most challenging special trek in remote eastern Nepal and Himalayan views.

The Eastern side of Nepal is where the third uppermost peak of the world, Mount Kanchenjunga, is situated. The Kanchenjunga region is one of the most spectacular regions of Nepal where Mt. Kanchenjunga is a major attraction. The peak elevates 8,586 meters and stands on the Nepal- Sikki m border.

Trekking to the Kanchenjunga region is a package of the amazing landscape, glacial wilderness, rhododendron forests, and a chance to experience the Himalayan lifestyle. Kanchenjunga region has the largest natural rhododendron forest. While trekking in the Kanchenjunga region we will also get several chances to experience or have a glance at the Himalayan lifestyle and culture. The Kanchenjunga region has a greater diversity in terms of ethnic groups where the Limbus’ are the predominant inhabitants of the region.

Apart from the main peak, Mt. Kanchenjunga, the other four peaks viz. Kanchenjunga West, Kanchenjunga Central, Kanchenjunga South, and Kangbachen are the other few peaks of the Kanchenjunga region. The Kanchenjunga glacier is also an attraction of this region.

Trekking in the Kanchenjunga region is graded as being a moderate one. However, Mt. Kanchenjunga is one of the world’s most challenging peaks to climb.

Itinerary

Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our team representatives and transfer you to the luxurious hotel.

We will guide you to visit UNESCO World Heritage sites inside Kathmandu Valley. We will assist you on preparing legal permits required for our trekking.

We will take the early flight to Bhadrapur then hire a Jeep to drive towards beautiful place Ilam.

We will drive for 4 hours to reach Suketar. Then after lunch, we start our trekking towards Lalikharka. The stunning view of Mt. Kanchenjunga (8,586 m), Mt. Jannu (7,110 m) and many mountains can be seen throughout the way.

We will start trekking descending towards Phundrawa village then continue walking through steep climb till Phumpe Danda. We will cross some beautiful forests to reach Khesewa.

With the stunning view of high massif in front of us, we start our journey crossing small stream and villages to reach Manmankhe.

Today, we will walk mostly through the bank of Kabeli Khola enjoying beautiful scenery of waterfalls on the way. After 4 hours of steady walk, we will reach the beautiful village of Yamphudin.

We will follow traditional path through terraced farming to reach Amji Khola. Then continue walking along the bank of river until we reach Tortong Village.

We will walk along the side of Simbuwa Khola to enter into the Lalung Valley. We will cross some beautiful forests of Rhododendron and walk through Yalung Galcier to reach Cheram Village.

We will hike around the Cheram village and grab the beautiful vistas of Yalung Glacier and snowcapped peaks seen from the Cheram.

We will climb for a while enjoying the view of high elevated mountains. We walk for 5 hours to reach Ramache Village through gentle path.

We will climb towards Yalung Base Camp early in the morning to grab the stunning vistas seen from the height. Then return back to the Cheram Village for overnight stay.

We will pass the Sinelapche Bhanjyang and Mirgin La Pass on our way which will be little bit difficult. We should be careful while crossing such High Passes. After walking 6 hours, we will reach the beautiful village of Sele La.

We will walk towards north direction passing Chortens marked flags. We will walk downhill through Rhododendron forest to reach Ghunsa Village.

We will walk along the bank of river then cross suspension bridge at Rampuk Kharka to enter into the region of Kambachen.

We will walk through the riverbank crossing waterfalls and river bridge on our way to Lhonak.

We will walk through Kambache village towards Ghunsa village.

We will descend down towards Amjilosa village crossing small settlements and Alpine forests. We will cross Chundatangka River through suspension bridge.

We will walk through a Solina Village and cross forest to reach Chirwa Village

We will descend back to  Suketar starting our trek early in the morning.

We will drive back to Bhadrapur city. It will take 4 hours to reach there.

We will take early flight to return back to Kathmandu.

We will leave you at Tribhuvan International Airport and you can fly back to your home town.

Tea house means local lodges that exist along the treks where we will sleep and eat. These lodges prepare a large variety of local and western meals at a reasonable price. Our guides are very familiar with all these tea houses.

As a first aid kit is important while trekking, we included it in the trek. And we also have guides who are trained in using a first aid kit in case of emergency too. Please note that our clients are responsible to bring all their required personal medications (prescription) for their allergies etc.

Yes, there are many trekking shops in Nepal where you can easily hire or purchase backpacks, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, down jackets, etc. You can easily find them mostly in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Yes, we will provide a responsible guide and our company takes all responsibilities to happen all safely and comfortably.

The Nepal rupee (NR) is the local currency accepted throughout the country. You will be able to exchange your national currency for rupees at the airport, banks, and other currency exchange offices. You can also find some ATMs where you can get local currency with a debit card. Many shops and restaurants in Kathmandu and Pokhara accept Credit cards too.
