The Helambu trek is a short trek to the high-lands of Nepal.

The Hyolmo and Helam people are the major inhabitants of Helambu. The Hyolmo people are of Tibetan origin, however, they look like Nepalese and the Helam people are originally Nepalese. Tamang and Sherpa are the major ethnic groups found in Helambu. The culture of these people and their lifestyle is an add-on to the natural beauty of Helambu.

The view of thick forests decorated with snow-capped mountains on the top is typically the view of Helambu. The Lantang, Jugal, Ganesh and Gaurishankar peaks are seen during the Classic Helambu Trek.

Helambu is also famous for sweet apples.
