Overview

Just west of Langtang National Park is a group of peaks called the Ganesh Himal. This trek takes you through river valleys and traditional farming communities that contain a variety of the ethnic groups in Nepal. The trek also goes through pine and rhododendron forests and across various passes and cols. There are wonderful views of Langtang, Gosai Kund, Ganesh Himal, Boudha Peak, Himal Chuli, Machhapuchre, South Annapurna and Annapurna II. Due to the easy accesability of this trek there are opportunities for treks lasting under a week.

There are good views of Langtang, Gosai Kund, Ganesh Himal, Boudha Peak, Himal Chuli, Machhapuchre, South Annapurna and Annapurna II. Despite the numerous peaks in view this area offers you to walk through the villages specially some of the well knows ethnic groups of Nepal i.e. Tamag and Magar including Chhetries, bramin etc. River Valleys and active farmers are some of the interesting part of the adventure.

Itinerary

You will be welcomed at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu by our agency representative upon your arrival. Then you will be escorted to the hotel in a private vehicle. In the evening, you will be given a brief idea about the trek. Overnight in the hotel.

We will begin our journey by driving from Kathmandu to Betrawat Bazaar via Trishuli Bazaar which is a shopping hub for local people. You can enjoy amazing scenes of farm fields, beautiful small villages, and terraced slopes set against a background of the Langtang Himalayan Range. Overnight in Betrawati.

Today we ascend uphill which is an easy, gentle trek through farmland and local villages until we reach Kispang. Kispang is a small village occupied by a community of Tamang people who depend on farming for their livelihood. Overnight in Kispang.

Our trek continues to ascend uphill as we pass through more local villages where you will be able to observe the Tamang people and their traditional lifestyle. You will be able to witness local schools, monasteries, and some gorgeous natural waterfalls along the trail. Overnight in Thulo Chaur.

Today our trek ascends steadily through a deep, mixed dense forest of rhododendron and pine. You will be able to witness some of the wildlife such as Deer, Himalayan Langur monkies, and wild boar amongst others. On reaching Gonga, you can witness amazing views of the Langtang Lirung and Ganesh Himal Range. Overnight in Gonga.

After enjoying the early morning view of Langtang and Tibet range and wonderful breakfast, we continue our trek through the dense forest. As we continue to ascend, we can experience panoramic views of the Great Himalayan Chain and the Tibetan mountain range. Rupchet is a basecamp of Sing-la top and highest altitude to rest in this trek. Overnight in Rupchet.

Today we make a sheer trek up to Shing La Pass which will reward us with marvelous views of Mount Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Manaslu, Tibet range, and the surrounding Himalayas. After enjoying the amazing scenery on the pass, we descend steeply through the dense forest of pine & Rhododendron to Kharka. Overnight in Kharka.

Today we trek steeply downhill through terraced farmland where corn, maize, wheat, barley, etc are cultivated and some charming Tamang Ghele villages. Borang is another typical Tamang village where you find warm hospitality offered by the Tamang community people. You will also have the opportunity to experience some beautiful mountain vistas. Overnight in Borang.

Today we continue our trek to Jharlang as the trail pass through the perfectly terraced fields that the local villager’s farm. We reach the Jharlang which is another Tamang village. Overnight in Jharlang.

We continue our trek as we make a steep descent through local villages where you will discover mixed culture inhabitants. Some pretty countryside views with a stunning mountain backdrop can be witnessed as we continue our trek to Kintang Phedi. Overnight in Kintang Phedi.

After morning breakfast we trek through the terraced farm fields following the flow of the Netrawati River which comes from Ganesh Himal glacier and arrive at Khaahre Bazar. Khaahre Baazar is a shopping town for the local people. We then continue our trek through the easy trail to reach Serabensi Jamrung. Overnight in Serabensi Jamrung.

After morning breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu from Serabensi Jamrung enjoying the scene of the hills and rivers. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will be accompanied to the hotel. In the evening, you can freshen up and go shopping at Thamel which is famous for useful tourist products. Overnight at the hotel.

This is the last day of your trip with us. Our staff will escort you to the airport. Fly back to respective destinations.

Please note that our clients are responsible to bring all their required personal medications (prescription) for their allergies etc.

Yes, there are many trekking shops in Nepal where you can easily hire or purchase backpacks, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, down jackets, etc. You can easily find them mostly in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
