The Lantang village is located near the Nepal-Tibet border. Lantang lies to the north of Kathmandu. The Rhododendron forests and several snow-capped mountains are the attractions of Lantang. Lantang Lirung is the major peak of this region. In addition to Lantang Lingrung, Gang Chhenpo and Dorje Lhakpa also strengthen the beauty of Lantang.

The climate of Lantang makes it a lot easier in trekking and makes it a memorable one.

In Lantang, we can have the opportunity to explore diverse ethnic groups, especially the Tamang. Their costume and various practices are enjoyable. Moreover, their friendly behavior and hospitality serves as an icing. The Kyanjin Gomba is situated in the Lantang National Park. It serves as a base camp to the Yala Peak.

Today we leave early for the seven-hour drive to begin the Langtang Valley Trek from Kathmandu. The journey presents with majestic panoramas of the Annapurna Himalayas in the west, to Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and the peaks of the Langtang region ahead. Before ascending towards Dunche and the Langtang National Park, we drive through the bustling town of Trisuli. After we reach the town of Dunche, it is just another hour downhill to our final destination for today, Syabru Besi. Overnight in Syabru Besi.

We begin our trek to Lama Hotel along the Langtang Khola from Syabru Besi. The trail ascends and descends simultaneously through oak and rhododendron forests. Walking along the trails we can witness several bird species in the area as well as beehives hanging on the cliffs. After crossing a bridge over the Langtang Khola, we ascend on a sheer trail that will lead us to the Lama Hotel. Overnight in Lama Hotel.

Today we continue our trek from Lama Hotel enjoying the mountain panorama with rich waterfalls. The trails drive through the rhododendron and pine forests for 3 hours to Ghoda Tabela, where we begin to see the white peaks of the Langtang range. Our scenic trail takes us to the Langtang valley and finally to Mundu. Overnight in Mundu.

After breakfast, we begin our trek as the trail ascends gradually through yak meadows. As we move forward the valley opens out further and the views become more boundless. After passing several small streams, ridge, prayer wheels, and chortens, the trail resides in Kyangjin. If you are feeling energetic, you can explore the Buddhist shrine in Kyangjin Gompa and the surrounding areas with the amazing views of Mt. Ganchhenpo and Mt. Langtang Lirung. Overnight in Kyangjin Gompa.

Today you can rest or explore the area in Kyangjin. Here you can explore a small monastery and a government-operated cheese factory and other areas as well. You can also head up the Valley towards Langshisha Kharka to see some of the astonishing scenes. And you can also hike up the moraine to observe the dramatic ice faces and plunging glaciers of Langtang Lirung. You can ascend Kyangjin Ri directly behind the village, for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang peaks. You can hike up to the vantage point at Tserko Ri to enjoy the incredible spectacles of the mountains, glaciers, and the Langtang valley. Tserko Ri also marks the highest elevation point of the trek at 5,000m above sea level. Overnight in Kyangjin Gompa.

Today we return through the trail from Kyanjin Gompa back to Lama Hotel. The route follows back adjacent the Langtang River through Mundu village to Ghoda Tabela.
