Overview

Mt. Kanchenjunga is also known as the third-highest pick in Nepal with an elevation of 8,586 m located in the eastern part of Nepal. The word Kanchenjunga is delivered from the Tibetan word which also means “The Five Treasures of the Great Snows”, as it implies it contains five peaks, Kanchenjunga I, Kanchenjunga West, Kanchenjunga South, and Kangbachen. The treasure represents the five receptacles of God and they are Gold, Silver, Gems, Grain, and holy books.

Nepal and Sikkim are the borders that Kanchenjunga stand. Mt Kanchenjunga is famous for its natural beauty, mystery, and attractiveness. Due to its such charms, it is considered sacred by local Sikkimese people.

Because of the great height of Mt. Kanchenjunga is visible from many places like a view from the Tiger Hill in Darjeeling, India. Out of five peaks of Kanchenjunga 3 are on the border of North Sikkim district of Sikkim, India and Taplejung District of Nepal, while the other two are totally in Taplejung District. Not only that, Nepal is home to the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Project operated by the World Wildlife Fund. In the conservation area of Kanchenjunga, you can find different types of animals and plants like Red Panda, snow leopard, Asian black bear. Khanchendzonga National Park is a protected park area located on India’s side of Kanchenjunga.

The trail to Mt. Kanchenjunga Expedition starts by climbing Mt. Kanchenjunga (5180 m) which stands right in the border shared by Nepal and Sikkim. The climb is technical, even along the normal route but it is extremely interesting to climb with technical and tricky mixed rock and ice climb to North Cole followed by a not too technical constant 1500 meter ascent to the summit. The view is stunning while climbing as well as from the Base Camp makes your journey to Mt. Kanchenjunga made marvelous.

FAQ

Yes, we are. We have been organizing treks, tours, and Expeditions for our beloved valued clients that go beyond two decades. We’ve enjoyed always nothing more than this.

All of the guides are specialists in their work and speak fluently English and other languages too, most are born in the areas they escort trekkers to and have many years of experience in guiding foreign travelers. It’s compulsory to carry the first aid with them when they are on the trek as they are trained too.
